About Us

Our History

As a young man, Bernie found a passion for carpentry. His first job was with his uncles, who owned and operated Tralee Kitchens. Over the years, Bernie had the opportunity to work in all aspects of the company from sales, installation, finishing and assembly. Over the years, Bernie was able to acquire different parts of the business. Initially, he started IFCC Inc. where he would finish all of the cabinetry for Tralee Kitchens in his own little shop in Listowel. He would pick up raw product and deliver finished product to Tralee. A few years later, he purchased the manufacturing portion of the business and was operating out of two locations.

In 2013, Bernie and his wife Julie purchased the building, known to many as Tralee Kitchens. They renovated the existing showroom and acquired their first salesperson (who used to work for Tralee). In 2018, Bernie and Julie were able to build their brand new 17,000 square foot facility in Listowel, allowing them to combine the manufacturing location and showroom location. They are now enjoying the benefits of operating everything under one roof and they are loving every minute of it!

What is our favourite part of the business?

We love it when customers send a little note at the end of their project. It really signifies that we are doing a great job. We also love when customers send us a picture of their completed space once they have settled in. 

What has been a significant change over the years?

The way we use and value the photography of an on-going or finished project. It is so easy to share photos of a space with the entire team instantaneously. This helps speed up certain areas of the project. Also, with social media being so popular, we rely on having high-quality images to showcase what we can do. Years ago, we would have to send film to be developed and wait for it to arrive in the mail before we could add it to our portfolio.

IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WOULD LIKE FUTURE CUSTOMERS TO KNOW?

Our relationships with our customers are professional, but there are some that turn into great friendships! We are honest, and caring and we want our customers to walk away completely satisfied with their project. We just want our customers to let us know if they are unhappy with anything in their project, and if we can make it right we will!
